What To Expect

Every church is different and it can be difficult to enter a place where everyone already seems to know each other. When you visit us at Port Angeles, however, we will do everything we can to make you feel as welcome as possible, and we hope that we will communicate to you the warm, family atmosphere and sense of love that we hold for each other.

What Do I Wear?

With us you will find people who come to worship in jeans, and you will find people who wear suits and ties or nice dresses.  The majority of our members come dressed somewhere in between with a “business casual” style. Your presence is much more important to us than your attire, and we would love for you to come as you are!

What is our gathering time like?

It starts at 10:45 am.  When we gather together we come to encourage one another and worship God. Our worship is simple and consists of a cappella singing, prayer, a sermon, personal reflection through the Lord’s Supper, and time for giving (visitors are not expected to contribute).  We also provide bible classes at 9:30 am before our worship service.

Our Core Beliefs

We believe in the one true God of the Bible, the Creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1), who lives and manifests Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Peter 1:1-2).

We believe that Jesus is Deity, and one with the Father (Colossians 2:9; John 1:1-4); He came to Earth to save us from the sin that separates us from our Creator (God); He accomplished this by dying on a cross for our sins, being buried, and then being raised from the dead to reign in eternity with the Father (1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God who personally dwells within believers to empower them to be transformed into Christ-likeness (Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:9-11).

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the ultimate authority in our lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Church

We believe that Christ's church, also known as the body of Christ, exists to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, and to perform Godly works of service to a world separated from God and hurting because of sin (Ephesians 4:10-13).  The church is comprised of those who have been united with Christ through immersion baptism as a response of faith in Jesus as Lord (Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:23-29; Ephesians 4:1-6).

We believe that salvation (being forgiven of sin and living with God) is found only through a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 14:6).  Salvation is a grace gift from God to those who put their faith in Jesus, are united with Jesus through immersion baptism, and continue to live as followers of Jesus (Romans 6:1-11).
